Citizen Science for the Future of Europe

The ECSA Working Group on Policy, Strategies and Partnerships, the European Citizen Science project and the wider European citizen science community of practice just published a position paper to advocate for the inclusion of citizen science in the 10th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

You can support it and share your ideas on citizen science in two ways:

1) go to the website and add your endorsement

2) produce a short video to advocate for citizen science.

You can produce a video up to 15 seconds by answering this question:
"Why is citizen science important for the future of Europe?"

Submit your video by 20 May 2025, following the ECSA Filming Guide and we will feature your videos to highlight our collective strength.

Citizen science is not just a tool: it is a vision for Europe’s future.

Project Activities in Citizen Science Apps

In many citizen science projects, there are geographical location-related events or activities to interact with as a participant. Such activities can, for example, be simply a workshop taking place or something more permanent like an exhibition, a nature trail, or a project-related area that needs highlighting. With the integrated system called "Project Activities" on the SPOTTERON Citizen Science App platform, there is a full toolkit available for all projects.
