Title: Stories of Open Science in Health: A Citizen Science Approach

This webinar is organised as part of the European Citizen Science (ECS) project, funded by the European Union (EU).

The session will spotlight citizen science (CS) and open science initiatives in health, particularly in underrepresented areas such as women’s health, LGBTQIA+ health, and men’s health. Speakers and citizens will share diverse perspectives on transparency, inclusivity, GDPR-compliant data sharing, and meaningful co-creation with communities.

Session will include:

• Introduction to citizen science and open science in health research
• Data sharing and ethics in health sciences
• Project showcases:
• Women’s health – ISALA (Menstrual Health Project)
• LGBTQIA+ – Equity in health for LGBTQIA+ people
• Men’s Health Project – TBD
• Citizen perspectives and lived experiences
• Citizen–researcher interaction
• Open Q&A and discussion
